El Nido, Palawan 2017
El Nido
El
Nido is municipality in province of Palawan. I have heard tons of great
vibes about it especially foreigner. It was highly recognized all
over the world. I was amazed how they describe it in the thread/forum, so when
I got a chance to booked low fare in Cebu Pacific. I have grab it.
It
is roughly 5 hours travelling by land from Puerto Princesa Airport to El
nido. I have computed the do it yourself
trip and realize it’s cheaper and wise if I would be purchasing in travel
agency as we are 11 adults and 3 kids.
So I have search thru groups in facebook and blogs about how would I spend
less in El Nido. I have also asked
people for quotation. Heaven sent I came across Tripidito Travel of Mr. Michael
Yao. I got a very nice deal of
3,800pesos for 4 days and 3 night land arrangement.
Inclusion
of this:
2
nights at accommodation in EL Nido
1

The
only thing you will think about is your snack and dinner plus pasalubong!
Due
to very suspicious price, I have really look for any scam story or any related
unhappy service to him. Surprisingly everyone is very happy to his
service. Though there are very few room
for improvement on the feedbacks, still 90% is satisfied customer. I also go to their office in Makati to have
checked the permits, and approved they have it. I also made letter of receipt
of payment, just imagine how strict I am.
And he is very much welcome to any questions and suggestion you
have. What are you waiting for text him
Ha HA Ha . to be clear I’m not affiliated. Michael Yao 0933-860-0662.
Back
to the trip …
Our
arrival time is 5:25PM, since we have an arrange land tour. We were confident
that we will manage our time.
We
were welcomed by a snack also complimentary by Michael yao. ( Hopia ube and
bottled water) Purple yam is so good. It is soft, sweet and chewy.
We
were given choice were to eat dinner in city proper or the next stop over. Since we got full on snack we chose the next
stop over.
Not
knowing food were not good (sorry just my point of view). It’s eatery
with a big view of pond. If I can remember well it is “Elfredo” name of the
restaurant/Eatery. Its almost 9PM and we
can’t see much on the view. All I can remember is the warm noodles they serve,
and everything you eat has been straight thrown away on the pond. Not a good
vibes to see. I cannot elaborate more. Also
on our way we were stopped to ask if anyone brings mangoes. Weird right? But they
prohibited to bring mangoes, knowing there might be pest insect and might go to
their farm. and finally we arrived past 12
midnight.
Since we are in big group we were divided into small rooms which is okay as some are couples who want private haha advantage.
We checked in at casa carlota and Chariz Inn. close to each other LITERALLY.
Both Inn comes with unlimited coffee (instant coffee) and has drinking water hot and cold.
But I gotta say Chariz Inn has more delicious breakfast serve in brown rice. The helpers also are attentive and most of has initiative to help you. So go for Chariz Inn, it might really not look pleasant on the picture but you will realize it evrything upon comparing. Please note that we stayed at Casa Carlota, but my friends are in Chariz Inn so we hang out there.
Day 2
Tour starts, the guide will meet you at the inn and walk near the beach , where you must pay first environmental fee that is good for 10 days stay after that you must pay again. So please keep your ticket. there is optional fins and aqua shoes for 100 both adult and child.
After boarding boat the guide will explain you do's and don't. Especially taking care of your trash. We were fortunate that our guide was an ex teacher in Manila who wants a stable job in the sea :). So as a teacher you know he lecture us, very informative. Everything anything you can ask to him, the only con about him is you really cant ask anytime to picture you guys, just typical Job description of tour guide , no part timing of photographer. Which happen mostly. but yeah its okay.
Tour A - my favorite island was small lagoon were my baby enjoy much and commando beach. The least would be secret lagoon.
while boating, lunch will be cooked inside boat at back to be exact.
and back at 4pm all tired and exhausted.
Day 3
Start by 9am
though the weather was not good , the tour was not cancelled.
Tour C - is probably the most popular of all El Nido Tours. It will take you on a journey to beautiful islands, beaches and snorkeling spots, and to an uncanny place: Matinloc Shrine. My Favorite island would be comando beach and least would be Helicopter island. I hope I get right, can't remember well.
and back at 4pm, freshen up eat dinner, and ready again for the long trip headed to city proper.
we arrived at city proper before midnight and stayed at AirportSide Inn. I must say room #1 has a creepy bathroom. It has brokern bathtub and has a spacious room for a restroom. so creepy to take a bath. Good thing were only staying for a night.
Day 4
Puerto Princesa City tour - 4hours use of Van.
includes
Baywalk
Plaza Cuartel cathedral
Crocodile Farm
baker's Hill
Pasalubong Center
We were not able to finish due to traffic and lots of time oin one place, as we are also catching our flight back at 6pm. We check in at 4pm, to secured our flight hehe.
Tips:
-pearl earrings are more cheaper in city proper compare to El Nido as low as 10 pesos.
-Please hoard on Hopia Ube in Baker's Hill.
-bring your own aqua shoes as the rent of shoes/fins is per day. So it is kinda pricey.
-I have seen ATM BPI in El Nido but que in line is long.
-secure your things at INN, locked it.
